Privacy Policy

Overview

MindLark ("the App") is developed by Mental Friends. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

MindLark does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or fingerprints
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Advertising identifiers
• Crash reports sent to our servers

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is created and stored locally on your device and within your personal iCloud account:

• Meditation history — date, duration, and time of each session
• Preferences — preferred meditation length, selected background sound, reminder settings, and sound mute state
• Reminder schedules — times and days of the week you have chosen for meditation reminders

This data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device and synced via Apple's CloudKit framework to your personal iCloud account. Only you can access this data through devices signed in with your Apple ID.

3. Apple HealthKit

MindLark offers optional integration with Apple HealthKit. If you grant permission, the App writes Mindful Minutes data to the Health app after each completed meditation session.

• MindLark only writes data to HealthKit — it does not read any health data from the Health app.
• HealthKit data is never transferred to our servers or shared with third parties.
• HealthKit data is not used for advertising or marketing purposes.
• You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → MindLark.

In accordance with Apple's guidelines, HealthKit data is handled entirely by the Apple Health framework and stored under Apple's security and privacy protections.

4. iCloud Sync

MindLark uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your meditation history and preferences across your Apple devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud container and is:

• Encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• Accessible only to you through your Apple ID
• Not accessible by Mental Friends or any third party

You can disable iCloud sync for MindLark in your device's iCloud settings.

5. Notifications

MindLark can send local notifications to remind you about meditation sessions. These notifications are:

• Scheduled and delivered entirely on your device
• Not routed through any external server
• Fully configurable and can be disabled at any time in Settings

No notification data is collected or transmitted.

6. Children's Privacy

MindLark does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The App does not require account creation, does not collect personal data, and is safe for users of all ages.

7. Third-Party Services

MindLark does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The only external services used are:

• Apple HealthKit — optional, user-controlled, governed by Apple's privacy policy
• Apple CloudKit (iCloud) — for data sync, governed by Apple's privacy policy
• Apple Push Notification service — for remote notification delivery, governed by Apple's privacy policy

8. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account, you have full control:

• Delete app data: Uninstall MindLark from your device
• Delete iCloud data: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → MindLark → Delete Data
• Delete HealthKit data: Health app → Browse → Mindful Minutes → Data Sources & Access → MindLark

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
